Callum – Personal Portfolio

Project Overview

Callum is a creative one-page React portfolio template crafted for professionals like photographers, designers, developers, and artists to showcase their work in a visually engaging way.
Originally designed by Harnish Design using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I collaborated with them to convert the template into React, enhancing its performance, modularity, and ease of customization.

The template combines smooth parallax effects, video backgrounds, and interactive elements to create an immersive portfolio experience.

  Includes typing animations, YouTube/video backgrounds, and a working contact form that allows email submissions without a backend.

• Theme & Style Options:
  Supports 7 pre-defined color schemes, light/dark variations, and RTL (Right-to-Left) language support for multilingual accessibility.

• Easy Customization:
  Clean, well-commented code and structured component hierarchy make the template developer-friendly and easy to personalize.

• SEO & Performance Optimized:
  Built with performance-focused React practices and optimized for search engines.

Contribution

I was responsible for the React conversion of the Callum template, ensuring:

• Component-based architecture for scalability.
• Conversion of all jQuery functionalities to React Hooks.
• Integration of animations and visual effects natively in React.
• Maintenance of cross-browser and device compatibility.

This collaboration helped deliver a modern, flexible, and performance-optimized React version of Callum, preserving the creative appeal of the original design.
